Yamaha R15 V3 VS Suzuki GSX-R150 VS Honda CBR150R Review

Yamaha R15 V3 VS Suzuki GSX-R150 VS Honda CBR150R – Look & Appearance

Here in our discussion on Yamaha R15 V3 VS Suzuki GSX-R150 VS Honda CBR150R all the bikes are street sports bike. All the three bikes are full faired and covered with full aerodynamic body kit. Hence considering design and feature all are same category bike.

Here Yamaha R15 V3 is designed with somewhat big bike look. Its appearance is quite like the newly released Yamaha YZF-R6. It comes with iconic dual head lamp with four pit LED head lamp assembly.  The front panel is wider with large wind screen where body panel is much bloated with huge wind tunnel. The rear part of the bike is also damn gorgeous with split seat, vented rear panel and with 140mm wider rear tire.

Here the Suzuki GSX-R150 is a super slim full faired bike. The bike is significantly light weighted we mentioned earlier. Concentrating on light weight feature the bike designed light in every possible corner of the bike. Hence the bike looks very sharp and aggressive from front to rear.

The Honda CBR150R Indonesia version is quite a blend of aggressiveness and politeness. You must have to respect its appearance in any crowd. It’s so decent and gorgeous with double pit sharp LED headlamp assembly. The bike is panelized with duel color scheme. Yamaha R15 V3 VS Suzuki GSX-R150 VS Honda CBR150R – Wheel, Brake & Suspension

The wheel, brake and suspension system of the bikes here is quite same type. All the bikes here come with all alloy rim with tubeless type tire. Here Suzuki GSX-R150 front tire is quite narrower than the Yamaha R15 V3 & Honda CBR150R. In rear the R15 V3 tire is wider than the rest of two competitors. Hence considering tire R15 V3 got fatter tire then CBR150R and GSX-R150 got comparative narrower tire.

Coming to the braking system again Yamaha R15 V3 comes in first as its front brake disk is larger in diameter. And the rear brake disk also larger then the rest of the others. Here again Honda took place in second where GSX-R150 brakes are so light in design. The rear brake disk of GSX-R150 is really quite small in diameter and that lacks confidence for sure. But we can assure as all the bikes here comes with superior braking system but their capability is different for sure.

In terms of suspension system again Yamaha R15 V3 comes in front line. The R15 V3 comes with upside down telescopic shock absorbar and the rear one is monoshock with link type assembly. Here rest of the CBR150R and GSX-R150 also comes with same type of rear mono shock assembly. But their front telescopic shock absorber is not USD type. Here again we should mention as these bikes suspension system is significantly capable but in terms of confidence and updated feature R15 V3 comes in front and rest of two grabs the equal position.

Yamaha R15 V3 VS Suzuki GSX-R150 VS Honda CBR150R

Yamaha R15 V3 VS Suzuki GSX-R150 VS Honda CBR150R – Riding & Controlling

Riding and controlling is the significant feature of a bike even that is aggressively designed for sports. Here in terms of riding posture and controlling all the three bikes have some advancement and also some weaknesses.

All the bikes here come with split type seat with clip on type racing aligned handle bar. The foot-peg and other control levers are also positioned in racing alignment. Considering all the arrangements & riding position Honda CBR150R is most comfortable bike to ride. Its control is very easy and effortless. It’s not so bulky not a slender bike with very handy amount of weight. Here pillion seat is not so wide but over all it feels better riding with pillion than the rest of two.

On counter, considering riding and controlling feature Suzuki GSX-R150 comes after CBR150R. It’s literary due to light weight feature and slim & slender body design. But one thing is sure riding for prolonged time is awful with GSX-R150 and riding with pillion is really hell both for rider and pillion. It’s comfortable only with short solo riding within small territory but not for long. Again riding on highways it lacks confidence while crossing large size vehicle in high speed and in open air. Literary is shakes due to light weight.

Coming to the Yamaha R15-V3 taking everything in consideration actually it takes position in between of CBR150R and GSX-R150. Guys believe me as it’s not fun, truly it’s more comfortable to ride, handle and control then GSX-R150 even being heavy & bulky. It takes more space to turn but it easy and comfortable even with pillion. Its wider aligned handlebar, wider tire, heavy suspension and capable brake truly gives the impression of bigger bike. And in other meaning it builds the rider’s confidence even in high speed.

Here coming to the Yamaha R15 V3 the engine is larger in capacity. It’s quite a square engine with significant compression ratio. Moreover with VVA valve timing in high RPM and assist slipper clutch the R15 V3 gives most powerful and capable attitude in all RPM situation. In addition it also will ensure significant mileage simultaneously with power and acceleration. And truly due to little large size engine, its power, clutch & VVA all together it gives really ease feel of power play.

Afterward the Suzuki GSX-R150 comes with an over square DOHC engine that produces significant amount of power and torque. In terms of power and torque figure it near equal to R15 V3. Moreover it gets super light like flying while gaining top speed which somewhat risky.

Lastly again Honda CBR150R is the balanced pack of power, mileage and confidence. This DOHC square engine allows very smooth flow of power & acceleration in all RPM. The most significant thing is it also ensures significant amount of mileage even in power riding. Moreover riding in high speed even in open air or crossing the large vehicles it never lack the control or confidence a bit. Therefore Honda CBR150R is the true silent killer.
